Behalve het ontwerpen van nieuwe objecten is Henry Wilson erg goed in het aanpassen van 

bestaande ontwerpen. Goed gehacked zeg maar..... 


Besides designing new objects 
Henry Wilson is very good in inventing additions to
existing objects. 

Design Revisit:

Henry Wilson is a designer 

whose practise is built around his belief 

that design should be both built for longevity and honestly resolved. 

A graduate with first class honours 

from the Australian National University, 

he also holds a Masters 

in Man and Humanity from the Design Academy Eindhoven in The Netherlands.

A strong believer in ethical and human-centered design, 

Henry creates new objects        

as well as thoughtful and useful additions to existing objects.

 He has recived numerous awards, 

scholarships and grants for his work 

and exhibited in Australia, 

Europe the UK and USA.

1. Het 'A-joint' systeem is zo gemaakt dat er vele mogelijkheden

ontstaan voor het maken van tafels, stoelen en banken...

2. Lamp 'Bedrock'

Bedrock lamps were designed as a reaction 

to the phase out of the Edison lightbulb in Australia.

The wasted energy of the filament is converted into heat,

which is subsequently 'lost' into the environment.

 In bedrock lamp this heat is captured by the high thermal mass 

of the concrete 

resulting in a warm pillow-like rock

The 'bedrock float' lamp celebrates this ancient 

form of illumination by displaying 

the light at the top of a resin-impregnated cord 

wrapped around the cast concrete bag, 

suggesting we consider and respect the now redundant technology.
